Purr and Wag in Japanese translation

I'm thrilled to share that my books Purr: The Science of Making Your Cat Happy and Wag: The Science of Making Your Dog Happy will be published in Japanese translation on 17th May.

As it happens, it's exactly 20 years since my husband and I went to Japan on vacation. We visited Tokyo and Kyoto and absolutely loved it. I had learned some basic Japanese before we went and had fun having simple conversations. The food was amazing and I especially recall a very fine kaiseki ryori meal of many small but exquisite courses. I had practised how to say that I am allergic to wasabi, and a Japanese friend had written it down for me on a card that I carried everywhere. The waiters were very sympathetic and helpful.

In Kyoto we stayed in a ryokan (traditional Japanese inn) in Gion. All in all, it was an amazing experience. So I am very, very pleased that Wag and Purr will both be available in Japan.
